Improv Retreats

18 acres of creative sanctuary in Georgia, 30 minutes from Atlanta. A place where world-class teachers meet intimate, immersive settings. Where the land itself becomes part of the practice.

The Vision

More than workshops - a movement

Chara Community is becoming a destination for improvisers from across the country and beyond. A place where world-class teachers meet intimate, immersive settings. Where the land itself becomes part of the practice.

Whether you're a beginner discovering the joy of "yes, and" or a seasoned performer seeking deeper training, Chara offers something rare: space to play, fail beautifully, and find your authentic voice.

We're building toward an improv school and theater - a creative home where artists can train, perform, and grow together in a sanctuary that nurtures both craft and spirit.

What People Say

From past retreat participants

".. I think you DO have something, Rejini. It appeared to me that you DO have a deep wisdom and insight and empathy that is specific only to you. I observed it in how you took care of each of us individually and of the group as a whole and in your vision not just for the retreat, but for the land and your animals and the community and in the ENERGY of the place and what you've poured into it .."

— Mary R, Weekend Retreat Attendee, 2025

"I had a much-needed breakthrough in my improv learning here at a weekend retreat, there is something about the place, the connections, the teachers"

— Weekend Retreat Attendee, 2025

"The combination of world-class instruction and this magical property creates something special. I left feeling like a better improviser and a more present human."

— Weekend Retreat Attendee, 2025

"Rejini has created something rare - a place where you can take risks, fail gloriously, and be held by a community that genuinely cares. I'm already planning my next visit."

— Weekend Retreat Attendee, 2025
